Heard about a possible remake

I heard that there may be a remake of this coming up and I realized I had not watched this before. It's surprisingly good. The Atmosphere, location, and scenario are otherworldly. It suffers from issues that came up from the time it was created, but I really enjoyed the ominous feeling of the movie. Questions are brought up without answers but it adds to the mood and makes for a decent flick.

If they're going to remake this, I hope it's better than what we saw with movies like the OMEN, Black Christmas (2019), or the Hitcher. We'll see what happens. Otherwise, I'm glad I heard about a remake because now I got to see the original and enjoy it.

This film has a whole long story surrounding it and its really a rabbit hole to go down. I like you really enjoyed it despite its shortcomings. The main problem was the sfx guy died during the making of it and that is a shame cause the fx were really quite good for that time. The other problem was Michael Mann was constantly at odds with the studio and they battled over the cut, the studio eventually won as This was only Manns second theatrical directorial effort. His cut of the film is rumored to have been something like 3-4 hours. Anyway I always wanted to seensomeone else pick it up since there is a whole story which spans several novels with The Keep just being one story. I look forward to it.

I can't help but be glad to hear this masterpiece of trashy, "so bad it's good" cinema has found yet another fan.

As far as a remake goes, I suppose all I can say is... must we? Must we, really?

Don't know or really care at the moment. I just enjoyed the original.
