According to an animal care representative who was on the Vancouver
set, rats were squeezed and hurled against a wall, killed, and burned
by an actor during filming and again between takes while the director
and crew looked and laughed.

So?

I killed several mice in my home with traps.

I spray and kill wasp that get around my house.

Rats are vermin and pests.

Why should anyone kill some rats were killed over 40 years ago?

If this is just an interesting FYI about behind the scenes stuff on the making of the movie then ok. If, however, this is a "how dare they!"..."I am outraged", those working on this film are evil and should be banned and boycotted for killing vermin and pests 40 years ago!" then I'd tell those who think that way so shove it up there self righteous, miserable ass.
