That is very funny

As much as I hate to admit it (because I LOVE this film so much) the bike flying sequence (at least parts of it) look severely dated now but let’s be fair it is almost 40 years old! Can you imagine how amazing those effects looked to audiences back in 1982! They would’ve been groundbreaking back then. Just think how well that sequence could be done now, with present day technology. Not that I want it to be redone, no way! E.T. is a special film.

Pure panic. They know peddling makes the bike go so they keep peddling. Would you want to take a chance that you stop and the bike falls from the sky?
