movie was just OK at the end...so can anyone recommend movies with similar soundtrack?
shareI've just started watching it and the opening score reminded me of COMMANDO, so I looked up the composer and it's James Horner, who did both movies.
shareI feel it was a good film but the ending was a bit weak, I felt it deserved something more interesting.
The soundtrack was wonderful, a blend of young James Horner orchestra sound overlaid with jazzy tones which were perhaps a link back to the crime/thriller films of the not-too-distant seventies.
I can't think of any other soundtrack he did which successfully blended the two styles, but the tones he used were a little similar to his "eighties phase" which included Star Trek 2 and 3, Aliens, Krull, Battle Beyond the Stars, Humanoids from the Deep and others.
If you're looking for a similar score ( exact same harmonies) check out "Gorky Park", maye one year later with the same composer!
