This movie is still a lot of fun to watch. I remember seeing it at the drive-in back in 79.

This was very disappointing indeed. I was expecting a much better movie considering it is still talked about decades after it came out and Angus Scrimm is a very respected man in the horror sphere. I'm sorry to say, but I feel that it doesn't deserve its cult status and should have been forgotten.
Your taste in classic 70's Horror sucks unbelievably.. PHANTASM is one of the Best along with PHANTASM II, however, anything after PHANTASM II and just forget it..
