Goose calling that male rape victim a turkey

I hate the part in the film where Max and Goose are driving up to the wreck and see the guy who was assaulted by the gang running away, and Goose yells at him that he's a turkey. It's obvious that the guy had just been through an incredibly horrific experience that may well have affected his sanity, and Goose is calling him names and making fun of him. He sure as hell doesn't do that with the woman they then find. It's stuff like this that makes me dislike Goose a bit. I somethings wonder if, had he lived, he would eventually have gone bad.

Originally in Part 2 he was to be the main villain so you are onto something with would he have gone bad if he lived.

From what I remember, Goose didn't die, just was horribly disfigured and in intensive care. That's what actually drives Max over the edge the first time, as he leaves the hospital visibly distraught, saying "That in there, is not Goose". Indicating that Goose was still alive but only barely.

When Max quits his captain says " The Goose bought it" which leads many viewers to believe he means passed away

He most likely would have.

From the very first scene he appears, at the diner, it's clear the job has made him a callous, cynical bastard, and that he enjoys it a bit too much.

He is exactly what Max fears he himself might eventually become.
