Would you have gone back for the dog if you were in that situation?

I am certain that I would. Pets are part of the family too. However, just suppose that George convinced the kids he would return the next morning for Harry, do you think he would have survived in that house? I mean, what would whatever was in there do to Harry? I've read that spirits were frightened of dogs.

reply

Yes. I would go back to get the dog.

reply

Absolutely! George showed what a caring father he was. I don't think Burt Young's character would have done that.

reply

Absolutely!

reply

YES! Always go back for the dog!

reply

Yes I would have, pets are family too.

reply

Absolutely. I'd go back for my cats too.

This reveals one of the things I like about the movie: It addresses dark & creepy paranormal things, but it has heart. The realistic drama reveals that the Lutz family & the others involved are good people. All the family members survive and get away; in fact, no one dies except for the DeFeo family in the original murders, depicted at the opening and in flashbacks or whatever.

I like that he goes back for the dog.

Nice Parallel with Clark Kent's father in Man of Steel. Which was a Superman film which did not star Margot Kidder.

Although she did appear in other Superman films and this one. In which the pa also goes to save the family pet.

reply

Nah. The dog can fend for itself. I think it would have made it anyway. dogs can be pretty rresourceful.

reply

Yes without hesitation, And for the $1000 wedding money the house stole as well. It must have stashed it somewhere upstairs.
