Who would go to a theater to watch a 45 year old movie?

reply

Me. And many others that were at the theater tonight.

reply

Wow. Just wow! Lots of suckers out there

reply

You're not a real movie fan if you don't understand the concept of seeing classics on the big screen. Stick to Marvel I guess.

reply

You mean I'm not a movie fan sucker that goes to the theater to see movies 45 years old. There is no CGI action sequences to enjoy on a big screen

reply

That's a really dumb statement. You only go to the movies to see CGI action sequences. That says a lot.

reply

For CGI action sequences, the big screen is the way to go. Superman has no CGI, hence no need to see it on a big screen. Your TV at home is big enough

reply

I guess this also applies to, say, Lawrence of Arabia and 2001: A Space Odyssey?

reply

Yup. I'm looking forward in 45 years from now seeing The Last Jedi on the big screen again. The duel between Kylo and the force projection of Luke will be amazing. By then probably too, there will be a special edition with even more CGI action

reply

You need to realize that anything looks bigger on the big screen, not just CGI. Plus CGI plays fine on modern big screen TVs.

reply

Yea but the first 75 minutes or so of Superman is boring. And there is no epic fight at the end with a super villain. Superman 2 would be better on the big screen

reply

You sound 13 years old.

reply

You really are a cretin, aren't you, millsey72?

reply

I'm not the one going to see a 45 year old movie that we all seen countless times

reply

Good for you. Some people appreciate being able to watch a movie on the big screen, as they were meant to be seen.

reply

I don't get it

reply

We know

reply

Maybe next week, they will show Superman 2, 3 and 4 also on the big screen

reply

Not even the most avid Chris Reeve fan would want to watch 4 on the big screen

reply

Are you sure about that? Superman fighting Nuclear Man on the moon would look great on a big screen

reply

I'm impressed with your continued ability to suck in the clowns after all these years.

reply

I'd like to see the main title sequence and John Williams' Main theme blasting on big screen again, but otherwise I'm fine with rewatching this movie on blu-ray.

reply

I never cared to watch the opening credits to a movie
