So weird that many late 70's, 90's and even 00's movies have horrible soundtracks.

Can't really go wrong with Tangerine Dream.

Their work on Michael Mann's so-bad-it's-actually-brilliant forgotten gem, The Keep (1983), is among my all-time favorite movie soundtracks:

Tangerine Dream's soundtracks for this and Michael Mann's Thief are masterpieces.
