Why did Boca leave Charnier's Lincoln parked overnight by the Brooklyn Bridge?

The garage down at police headquarters was full, so parking it on the street was their only option

man, I just watched it and came here to find out that very answer... hoping this will bump it up so someone who knows can answer.

My guess is that while it’s a ‘bad’ neighborhood it was an area being run by the Mob, and no matter how bad or tough you thought you were in those days in a place like that, you didn’t F around with what was obviously an important dude’s car.

Anyone in a neighborhood like that who could afford to drive around in a Lincoln and had the balls to park it there was going to be very well connected. You don’t risk stealing the hubcaps!
