Should I watch this ??

If you like shots of beaches, cobblestone streets, grass, and umbrellas, you might like it. It looks beautiful but it's a drag to watch. There really isn't much in the way of action per se. The affair that is central to the dramatic conflict doesn't happen until maybe an hour, hour fifteen minutes into a three plus hour picture. The only thing that comes close to an actual action beat is a storm sequence that happens like thirty minutes before the end credits.

I personally liked the film and bought a digital copy of it I watch from time to time. However, it does move slowly and much of the material about the Irish Rebellion serves as an unnecessary backdrop to this rather simple tale about a Madame Bovary-type woman who wants to have a lover like those she's read about in trashy romance novels. It's interesting to see Robert Mitchum cast against type as a milquetoast schoolteacher with no libido whatsoever. Despite its problems, it looks fantastic. When Lean didn't get the look he wanted from the Irish coastline where much of it was filmed, he went to other locations such as Africa to make sure every shot was perfect. I would suggest reading Pauline Kael's critique of it from her collection of reviews "Deeper Into Movies". Kael hated it and gave David Lean the drubbing of a lifetime. He supposedly was so distraught over this review (and the lackluster box office) that he didn't direct another film until "A Passage to India" in '84.

One can only howl at someone who asks "Should I watch this?" They can't even make a simple decision to watch a movie they're interested in.

The answer should almost always be yes.....I mean why not....what else is going on.

There are way better films you could be watching instead. It goes on forever, and portrays the Irish as unruly animals.

Does the OP really need other people to make up his mind for him about what movies to watch?
