How did you discover this movie?

It was 'Everybody's Talkin' and an episode in American Dad that made me watch it.

I was interested in movies from an early age and was aware that this was considered a landmark film, so I watched it for the first time as a teenager back in the late 80s.

My parents had it on VHS in the early 1990s and I decided to watch it.

I watched Southern Comfort, which led me to Deliverance (via similarity), which then led me to John Voight, and I saw the title Midnight Cowboy in his work which I sometimes get mixed up with Midnight Express. I enjoyed Midnight Cowboy and it reminded me a lot of Scarecrow with Al Pacino and Gene Hackman who are also like drifters doing what they have to, to survive.

When I was about 16 it was on TV late one night. I thought it was a western movie so I watched it. I considered turning it off at first when I realized it wasn't, but I gave it a shot and enjoyed it very much.

I'll watch anything with Sylvia Miles in it.

I watched it for the first time in 1994 on VHS—it was in my parents’ movie collection.

They kind of did a take-off of it on part of Seinfeld...Among other things George thought he bought Jon Voight's car. It brought memories up of the movie for me, which I really liked.

The theme song, "Everybody's Talkin'" makes me sad. Great song.

-Has anyone ever gotten an email notification that someone replied to one of your posts here? I never have and I have it set up to get 'em. Odd.
