I don't....
shareThe ship and space station interiors, beginning with TNG and continuing through "Voyager" and DS9, always reminded me of 1980s indoor shopping malls--bland, beige, plastic, potted plants, etc. The 1966-1969 series was more imaginative, and didn't just look like the 1960s.
shareAgreed.
shareYeah, I got that feeling too! TNG’s ship interiors always remind me of the hallways of a 1980s/1990s hospital.
shareAll the sequels/prequels are visually ugly and that's the reason I can't watch them. TOS was bright and colorful. Some of it had a campy look (like pink coveralls on middle aged fat guys), but that's part of the fun! Gray, dreary, dark space is not very inviting. All those primary colors along with the neons made the Enterprise look warm and cheerful.
sharepart of that is because it was shot on video instead of film
shareDefinitely the first two seasons of TNG look crappy as hell.
