sitcom episodes which mention Psycho

I only pay attention to those series really worthy so I am surely undercounting.
I really love the episodes which put the females alone in the house scared of an intruder. I can't say they're better, it's just good reason for more over the top silliness. WE know they'll be alright. I usually loathe horror and the idea an audience wishes to witness torture and mutilation for kicks. "Let's watch Sophie's Choice and The Killing Fields, Yay" Dick Van Dyke season 5. The Mothers-in-law when they both injure their legs, I think there's an I Love Lucy, a Maude episode and a Golden Girls. In at least 3 they mention Psycho. TCM called it an Edward Hopper night, but right after they broadcast Halloween Bobs Burgers. Made me wonder if Jan 11 had special significance.

"married with children", al bundy: "my daughter is out with the spawn of norman bates and sea biscuit". there were a documentary on about this airing just before the actual feature where it told of a story i had heard before on how this was considered to be dropped as a theatrical movie and cut for an episode in the alfred hitchcock presents series, and on the twilight zone airing at the same time in the 1950's that series and this movie shares several actors, quite a few of them. i'm not sure how i feel about documentaries about behind movies and such, it has a way to sometimes take away some of the magic and often analysed to the breaking point and it was weird how one participant even criticised the movie. the mystery about the mother being alive must have been a real thrill first seeing the movie, it was so long ago i first saw this i can't remember what that was like, as a teen i was also totally hooked on the sequels, couldn't quite get into the 1988 bates motel or the 1998 remake though.

through night drifted around,
with summer heat struck mind,
felt like refund on ticket,
until my soul you concert bringin,
struck down on me like moonbeam,
brought the magic and halted my drift,
wish you stay but with moon headed away,
and i was out of light driftin again.

Happy Days:

Mr. and Mrs. Cunningham(Tom Bosley and Marion Ross), are going out to see a movie. In their living room, Mr. Cunningham puts on a hat and a coat before going out.

Ralph Malph walks in.

Ralph: Hey, where are you two going?
Mr. Cunningham: We're going to see a movie.
Ralph: Which one?
Mr. Cunningham: Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho.
Ralph: Ooooh! That's a great one. At the end, Tony Perkins is revealed as a guy who dresses up like his dead mother to kill people!

Mr. and Mrs. Cunningham just stare at Ralph. Then Mr. Cunningham takes off his coat and hat and goes to the couch to watch TV. Mrs. Cunningham follows.

BONUS: Marion Ross(Mrs. Cunningham) is one of a group of Navy nurses on board the submarine of Cary Grant and Tony Curtis in "Operation Petticoat"(1959.) One of the other nurses is Virginia Gregg, who the next year would be one of the two main voices for Mrs. Bates.

I remember an episode of Night Court where Dan ends up with a mentally unstable woman who tries to kill him in the shower after watching Psycho.

Also an episode of Blossom had her dad making her watch Psycho because he loves it so much and she tells him how obvious it is that Norman is the killer (ugh horrible show).

The whole plot of "ALF's" second episode "Strangers in the Night"s revolves around Alf's attempts to watch "Psycho" while Mrs Ochmonek babysits Brian in the front room.

Not a sitcom but Police Academy 4 also did a spoof of it with Zed and Sweetchuck.

The Psycho house featured in an episode of Different Strokes. IIRC.
