Yes. there were some classic episodes of the original TZ, but face it. Many were for 5 year olds, many were simply rehashed phoned in scripts, and especially the hour long ones were nothing but worthless filler.
That said there were about 30 classics. But that out of 152 episodes, not a good track record.
I think the opposite. What I really appreciate from the twilight zone is how original and genuine it is. How unique no matter the episode. A lot of them you cant find any other similar stories and that has a ton of credit.
shareMost episodes of many shows aren't especially great. Was every ep of Breaking Bad Ozymandias? Or, The Sopranos Pine Barrens? I think not.
shareThe ones I've watched on YouTube were good I thought. There's always an odd episode here and there where I think "why was this made?!". But in general I enjoyed them.
Have you seen One Step Beyond ? The quality of some episodes is questionable but they are based on "true" strange tales. It's similar to The Twilight zone and on YouTube.
