How much did Hitch have to do with this show?


Obviously his name was on it so he wouldn't want the quality to get too bad, but how much creative input did he put into it?

I think his introductions and prologues added his own comic macabre and mean-spirit creativeness enough to each episode. As you say his approval of the material was important and of course he did direct a few of the episodes himself.

According to producer Norman Lloyd, Hitch would view each episode in his private screening room before the air date. If he liked the episode, he say, "That was good." If he didn't care for an offering, he simply utter "Thank you" at its conclusion, then he'd quietly leave.
