Paul Muni was excellent as James Allen, and this being based on a true story, makes this film even more compelling.

Everyone did a great job.

I love these old films. They have a raw quality to them. Everyone just trying to do their best to deliver an enjoyable viewing experience.

A wonderful film in the Golden Age of Hollywood.

Yeah, this movie was awesome. I really loves the car chase near the end. I think this movie was way ahead of its time. Had a really great ending as well. I would definitely watch this flick again.

It has one of the all-time great endings, IMO. Chilling, sad, poignant...

I saw it on TCM’s Noir Alley sometime back. It was excellent.
