Her Best performances

Looking at Mia's C.V, even before she hits 30 she's left a damn good impression. She's never going to be a mega star, you can tell she's not comfortable with the spotlight on her and she seems happy to do more artier and Indie affair.

1. Tracks- This is really a underrated gem, that doesn't get the love it deserves. She's excellent in it and probably her best performance.
2. Defiance- Not a film to really show off Mia's acting ability but in term of a film it's excellent imo.
3. Only Lovers Left Alive- Mia is excellent in this, just preferred the two above me more.
4. Lawless- Once again a bit like Defiance, not the best film to show Mia's acting as she's a bit underused in this. But as a film it's excellent, Hardy and Pearce are fantastic.
5. Jane Eyre- A very good adaption, Mia and Fassbender are great, and it's beautiful shot.
6. Maps To The Stars- I think Mia is great in this, she's a bit overshadowed by Julianne Moore career best turn, and a returning John Cusack agaisnt type performance.
7. Stoker- A hit and miss film, but Mia gives one of her better performances in it
8. Crimson Peak- I liked this not a great film, Mia is enjoyable in this
9. The Kids Are All right- Mia leaves a mark, but she's overshadowed by Moore, Ruffalo and Benning.
10. The Double- This is a underseen gem, not for everyones tastes. But Mia does well with what she's given.

Check out her performance as Sophie in the In Treatment series. She was incredible in that.

I'm meaning to check that out, thanks for the recommendation Iaaat. She's one of the better actress under 30, some of her choices are interesting, I like that she takes the risks, while some don't pay off for her and that she could have taken it easy and done big budget films after the success of Alice in The Wonderland film, but she's just doing her thing and choosing what she feels like.

No offense but I find her rather stiff in everything I've seen her in so far. Granted, I've only seen her in "Crimson Peak" and "The Double" but, IMHO, she didn't shine much in either role.

Different Strokes for Different Folks, I always say she's a actress you either like or dislike, no in the middle with her. Her style of acting can leave some cold. I agree that those two movies probably aren't the best to see her, she's outshined in Crimson Peak by Jessica Chastin or just not given a really meaty role in The Double. She hasn't done anything for me that's been award worthy but she's far better then many give her credit for.

Definitely "Tracks", I seem to be the only person in the US who's seen it and who remembers it. Lovely film, and Mia was great in it.

I am also very fond of her "Jane Eyre", although I think her costar Fassbender was miscast.

It's one of those films that didn't get the love it deserved, also has Adam Driver in it before he really broke out. Really good film.
