He uses his middle name as his stage surname because his birth name, "Pugh", which is of Welsh origin, sounds too much like "Pew."

"Though he has no Jewish ancestry, Levi is often incorrectly perceived to be Jewish due to his stage name. In a 2016 interview, he claimed that he had been turned down for a number of roles because he was considered "too Jewish" for the part."

Maybe he needs to get over himself and his obsession with his dumb name, and his dumb DNA, and just act. Anti-Semitic git.

There are Qeksh and Irish people who claim to be descended from the Lost Tribes of Israel, but yeah it's amusing how his perceived Jewishness continues to be a topic of discussion.

He hates his name Pugh. So he changes it to Levy. Now he doesn't like Levy. I think this guy just isn't comfortable in his own skin. What a douche.

It's Levi. Not Levy. Levy is Jewish. Levi could be considered Eastern European.

Okay. So he himself changed his name to Levi because he had some silly hangup about his birth name Pugh. Now he's paranoid that "Levi" sounds too Jewish. Sorry, this guy is a mess. I would never hire him.

Having No Connection Florence Pugh is his loss who willl be in Oppenheimer and Dune Part 2 later this year likely make the cash and get better reviews Than Shazam:FOG

And notice that Florence Pugh has the same last name yet is not some paranoid jerk who is so worried about the pronunciation of her family name that she changed it.

Sorry, but I predict that a guy like Zachary Pugh aka Levi I'm-Not-A-Jew will be forgotten in 5 years.
