Was her acting in Ant-Man really that bad?

I have yet to watch the movie but have seen lot of criticism of her performance and how she was the worst thing in the film and just dragged the movie down. Also how the actress she replaced was much better. Was she really that bad in the movie?

reply

She was very Disney princess like in the movie, but considering that is likely what she was asked to do, I would not blame the actress.

Just like I would not blame Iman Vellani for Ms Marvel.

reply

Yeah I got the Disney princess vibe with how they wrote Kate in Hawkeye. Not a big fan of it but I guess it is to be expected from Disney.

Also Xochitl Gomez in "Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness", Disneyfication is in full swing.

reply

Yeah that was such a bad character overall.

reply

It was on par with everyone else. It was the writing and production that sucked. I don't think she's a bad actress so much as she had a bad role.

reply

She is just riding on being pretty, she is a weak actress and clearly doesn't' connects well with the audience.

reply

Pretty? I disagree. My wife and I both find her unattractive.

reply

She meets the typical Hollywood standard in terms of beauty/looks is what I meant.

reply

not good in cgi blockbuster like nat portman, plus she is crap

reply

No, she was not bad at all.

reply

No, she was alright.
