Pacific Rim OST. Just the strength of that made the movie enjoyable for me.

I like this guy a lot. His themes for Westworld and Game of Thrones are melodious, Classical, emotionally compelling, engaging, and so solid that snippets of them make outstanding background music scattered throughout scenes of their respective TV shows as well as rousing anthems for the opening credits. That is deceptively difficult to do: think Monty Wooley’s James Bond theme, albeit basset on Jazz rather than Classical.

I'm so glad he won. I think some of his themes will wind up as beloved as John Williams'.
