I can help but feel sorry for him

His life in 2013 was great. Pretty wife, huge fortune, beautiful kids and a successful television show. Not that he was all that deserving of all his blessings. He was an ass hole. But he had many things going for him. After he announced a run for president in 2014 it was the beginning of the end of his blissful life. After he won he became polarizing enough that a large proportion of people hated his guts and the other half worshiped him in an almost creepy cult-y way. Suddenly he had the racist stamp on his head - something people never called him while he was on the Apprentice. Public opinion of him in 2013 was quite bland but that all changed after becoming POTUS.

Now the man may be going to jail in his 70's. He was charged with sexual assault from a case years back. He probably did it... but we wouldn't have ever have known if he wouldn't have run for president. That would have been a well kept secret. His life is going to keep getting worse and every skeleton is coming out of the closet. I don't know why, but I feel bad for him. Becoming president RUINED his life. He could be enjoying retirement right now. What a terrible decision.

reply

Dementia Joe could be enjoying retirement as well but now he is ruining America.

reply

Let's compromise: They both should have been put out to pasture. I feel no sympathy for either one. But if you insist on pushing an equivalence, then I'll push back harder: Joe can sit in a rocking chair while Trump can sit in solitary confinement.

reply

So in your eyes, when a Republican is in power they are saving America, but when a Democrat is in power they are ruining America?

reply

Yes, Trump was harmless when he was well away from political power, but as soon as he sought it (as all those least suited to power tend to do) he became dangerous, what with his narcissism and his appealing to the ignorant millions who think just like him, and finally one of their lot was in the White House. Trump and the MAGA are unhinged, ignorant and just plain demented and have sad miserable lives most of the time, but now they rally behind Trump as he could change the USA to what they and he want.

I don't feel sorry for Trump at all, he deserves everything bad that's coming to him. Unfortunately, there are those with a vested interest in his becoming POTUS again in 2024 that are fighting the indictments tooth and nail, and there's a good chance that with them, he might actually succeed, short of a heart attack or even (dare I say it) something someone does to stop it, if you know what I mean.

The worst part is that now, the MAGA crowd have blossomed in power and influence, and will stop at nothing to regain it, if not with Trump, then someone else just as ignorant and egotistical and narcissistic. So it's the MAGA crowd vs everyone else in the USA, and I do foresee a Second Civil War coming if this carries on.

I don't feel sorry for Trump at all. He thought he could keep secret documents as souvenirs but he was wrong. Now Trump is facing 37 felony charges for being a traitor. He brought this on himself and now Trump will pay.

reply

Will he, though? I'm starting to doubt it, as the indictment process is taking too long, far too long for my liking. We'll wait and see, however.

reply

The wheels of justice turn slowly but they do eventually prevail. Trump is not going to weasle out of this one. Just wait until Georgia gets a hold of him.
