Donald Trump Second SOTU Snags More Than 46M Viewers; Beats Barack

What was also strong was the audience at home for a President. Fox News Channel topped all networks covering the speech for a second year in a row, drawing 12.1 million viewers and 2.8 million in the key adults 25-64 news demo from 9-10:30 PM ET in early Nielsen numbers. That topped No. 2 NBC, which drew 8.1M viewers and 2.6 million in the demo. That outpaced fellow broadcast net CBS, which had been leading among the Big 4 in the early metered markets.

Fox News led its cable rivals in primetime (8-11 PM ET) too, with 9.5M viewers and 2.02M adults 21-59; MSNBC was a far distant second in viewers, while CNN was second in the demo. During the 9-10:30 time slot, MSNBC delivered 1.8M viewers and 718,000 in the demo, and CNN 3.4M and 1.2 million in the demo.

His base watches StateTV - which explains the 12M viewers. So he was 'preaching to the choir' as they say...and what good is that?

As you can see, the rest of America which doesn't tune into StateTV (and instead watches CBS, NBC, MSNBC, CNN) tuned out in droves. His numbers tanked across the board, because liberals and independents had no interest in his 90 minutes of fabrication.

But more people watched this one then they did Obama's. If Trump was a terrible president then people wouldn't care about the SOTU.

More Republican viewers watched this on StateTV than they did Obama’s. You keep ignoring that.

Actually more Americans watched then in previous years. Its refreshing to see a great President finally.

So you agree then that people are watching him just to see if he messes up his words or finds some other way to make a fool of himself. Because when you say stuff like "Its refreshing to see a great President finally" its obvious you're just doing it to get a reaction and not because its what you really think. You will have to tone it back if you want people to take it seriously.

I sure hope you don't take me seriously because if you do then I will be no better than doggiedaddy.

Some day you will realize that whomever is President there will always be people that don't like him or her.

People that have a different opinion from you are not your enemy.

It just seems weird that you chastise me for voicing my opinion while the infamous doggiedaddy gets a free pass even though he infers that Donald is having sex with his daughter. As seen here:

Its only because when you say stuff like "Its refreshing to see a great President finally" it doesn't sound like a legitimate opinion. It sounds like you're trying to get a reaction from his critics while dodging the actual issues he's being criticized for. When you go that route it becomes obvious you kinda agree with his critics. Just come out and say you like him for his faults. There's no need to hide behind this troll garbage of pretending you think he's the greatest president we've seen in a long time. If you actually thought that was true then you could defend that opinion. Instead its always the runaround.

There's no need to chastise Doggiedaddy when the majority of his criticisms are repeated by both parties and the center. It would be like chastising someone for criticizing infowars or qanon. Some things just deserve to be criticized.

The only "more Americans" are those who tuned into FOX, which were republicans. As pointed out earlier, the ratings for the other cable channels weren't nearly as high as FOX because Independents and Democrats tuned out. Why you can't figure that out is beyond reason.

Who the hell cares? Just cuz people watched the SOTUA? They are practically forced to. They'd rather be watching Jeopardy or Big Bang reruns. People watch wrecks on the highway. Geez !

However you liberals want to paint it what happened was the country tuned in and saw Trump give a great speech unifying the country that some are calling thd Greatest State of the Union ever and basically look like a straight gangsta then watched the democrats put a fat black woman in front of a green screen in the Janitors closet and explain how her dad walked 60 miles a day and put in a shift (which would take like 40 hours) despite the family having a CAR

Have to agree, it was a fantastic speech and watching Pelosi squirm while Trump gave the best speech of his life was priceless. I am not sure if he can top this one next year.
