6 Key Points from Facebook’s Crackdown on ‘Inauthentic’ Accounts

Russian - Democrat collusion! Lock Them Up!!!

https://www.breitbart.com/tech/2018/07/31/6-key-points-from-facebooks-crackdown-on-inauthentic-accounts/

Earlier today, Facebook announced the banning of 32 political pages and accounts suspected of “co-ordinated inauthentic behavior” linked to foreign agents.

1. The pages were left-wing
2. The pages boosted #AbolishICE
3. There’s insufficient evidence to prove Russia is responsible (yet)
4. Facebook thanked a globalist think tank for helping them identify “bad actors”
5. Facebook spoke to the government, politicians, and other social media companies before taking actions
6. The crackdown hasn’t improved Facebook’s position in the stock market

The pages identified as “inauthentic” were all of the far left. They included pages such as “Resisters,” “Black Elevation,” and “Aztlan Warriors.” The pages repeated progressive talking points and set up real-world events aimed at rallying genuine left-wing activists. One event, aimed at challenging the now-canceled “Unite The Right 2” rally, attracted 2,600 signups before it was shut down.

This is consistent with Russian propaganda on Facebook during the 2016 election, which included both pro-Trump and anti-Trump activity. (Democrats continue to dishonestly claim that Russian social media propaganda exclusively helped Trump.)

reply

I'm not arguing with anything here, but I wonder why the Russians would help both Demos and Repubs. If the notion is that they would then expect favors from whichever face of the same coin won the election, isn't this Russian collusion fishing expedition a little disingenuous?

reply

After the Trump Tower meeting where all the top officials of the Trump campaign met with a later admitted Russian spy and at least 3 identified members of Russian intel? Are you on glue?

If Trump knew about that meeting beforehand, that's collusion.

reply

Are you on glue? renders your veracity questionable. Be more civil when you discuss things with me, or don't address me at all.

reply

My bad. I just had a hard time not being absolutely incredulous at you calling this a "collusion fishing expedition" in light of how Trump and Guliani are now publicly shifting to a defense of "collusion is not a crime" due to Cohen's allegations that Trump absolutely did know beforehand and Guliani accidentally admitting to a second meeting they all had 3 days before to prep for that meeting with Russians. Guliani then tried to backtrack and deny the meeting, but now is saying the meeting happened but Trump wasn't there.

SARCASM ALERT !!

reply

I actually kind of liked it too. 😉

But BigJackRutgers apparently didn't share my humor. 😢 So I'll have to try and be more respectful. *snowflake alert*

Quite honestly, given the question in light of recent events, I thought it was entirely justified.

reply

The same reason the US does the same stuff with other countries. To cause destabilization. If you developed a strategy to win a war without firing one shot, why wouldn't you use it?

reply

Why not cover your bases? Give a little to one side, give a little to the other. Hope and use either.

reply

Yeah, lets just stir up racial animosity among Trump voters to motivate them to get out and vote by creating fake black power groups called "Black Elevation". You're saying that's "left wing"? Could you really be that dense?

reply

I actually heard Big Foot cooked that up with his buddy the Loch Ness Monster.

reply

Black Lives Matter.
But do they?
