My take on Kristen (random thoughts)

Her acting ability was pitiful and her permanently depressed state in real life carried over to her onscreen presence. Even in roles that didn't call for sulkiness. I just feel like she lacked a natural ability as an actress.

Her attitude to her career and in interviews came across as apathetic and also somewhat entitled. In terms of her ''looks'' she was overall very plain feature wise but had a rather nice bone structure that could wear makeup well when they made her up for red carpet events. Her body was boyish but it was favored at a time when being ultra thin was a trend in the late 2000's and early 2010's. But she never had much sex appeal.

The Lesbian thing I believe but it was the final nail in her career coffin.

No resentment for them. I got the ''I'm not into men'' vibe from her for years in interviews. It's just that Lesbians do have a harder time getting work.

Wouldn't call her a great actress by any means (plays an ordinary person well but struggles with higher drama) but I find her very watchable. Only seen her in a few movies.

Okay so this sounded like such a petty post and just show how much people like you treat actresses.
1. Her acting isn't pitiful or whatever you said isn't correct she has won awards and for every role she played after twilight got critical acclaim for.
2. Career coffin? What? She literally has 3 big studio budget movie and 1 is a franchise and 2 indies and 1 that the studio will push for awards, besides writing and directing her first feature film
3. Interviews? You mean when she was 18, 19? I'd like to see you kept asked about Same thing over and over, you will never find someone in Hollywood who is more appreciative toward there career than her.
4. You really wanna go for looks? Huh well she is chanel ambassador and her body is hot she doesn't need to fit a certain body criteria to be sexy to you.
5. She's bisexual not lesbian is there any problem that she attractedto women?
Trust me her sexuality didn't stop her from work she still get big movie offers and still work. So don't come on her message board spreading hateful stuff. K?

Also that truly sound like you sat and gave thought oh what should i say about kristen hmmm. It doesn't sound random at all. Please find something to do other than hating on a hardworking actress who just wants to do what she love.

Kristen won a first place award from the most prestigious film critics group in the world, the New York Film Critics Circle. It simply doesn't get any better than this in terms of critical acclaim:

Kristen Stewart has also reasserted herself as a presence in the Best Supporting Actress category for her turn in Clouds of Sils Maria. Stewart notably became the first American actress to win a competitive César back in February.

So yes Mody, Kristen's acting is by no means pitiful and her 15 minutes of fame is far from over.

I do believe that what this thread needs is a repost of the following YouTube video in the faint hope that those with negative feelings towards Kristen might learn something. Now while I doubt that that will happen, one can always hope.

Great example, Carved as this is one of the best Kristen Stewart compilation videos highlighting her filmography that I've ever seen on YouTube--or anywhere for that matter, IMO. This video deserves way more views and likes while the creator deserves way more subscribers.

If you click "View replies" under my comment on that video, you will see that the person who responded to me was none other than Austin Yearwood, a fan of Kristen who used to post here on MovieChat and the former IMDb forum boards. Hope he'll rejoin us here again on MovieChat.

Yes, I saw that Austin Yearwood had replied to your comment, LL, and rest assured, I do remember him from the IMDb days.

Meanwhile, one of the things that struck me about that Reconsidering Kristen Stewart video is how often the maker of said video referred to 'Camp X-Ray' when discussing the quality of Kristen's work. Now there is a film that most people, including myself, completely overlook when giving examples of proof that Kristen is indeed a good actor. I usually refer to Kristen's performance as Georgia in 'The Cake Eaters,' while others choose films such as 'Clouds of Sils Maria,' 'On the Road,' 'Personal Shopper,' or 'The Runaways,' to name just a few. Thus it was refreshing to see and hear praise for 'Camp X-Ray.' In addition, I was quite taken by the comments that the directors of 'Still Alice' made about Kristen, as I had not heard them before.

Finally, I was also pleased that 'Speak' was discussed, as that was the film that made me a fan of Kristen in the first place. I found it interesting that the scene that was shown where Mr. Freeman (Steve Zahn) is discussing Melinda's sculpture can not only be used as a metaphor for what Melinda was going through as a result of her being raped, but can, in a way, be also used as a metaphor regarding all of the negative comments that Kristen has had to endure over the years regarding her acting and personal life. The comment earlier in this thread which states that, "She's disgusting and her movies suck. Everyone of them," is a perfect example of that. And to the person who posted that, it is your comment that is disgusting, not Kristen.

Someone people just think they are cool and edgy for hating on her and that they did something when they say she isn't a good actress without actually seeing her movies? And without actually analyzing her movies and performances. It always confuse me and annoy me. I love that there are people who can actually see how good she is. But of course there will always be hateful comments no matter what she do.

Good video CK. It shows Kristen's good abilities at her craft, especially about her ability to convey emotion and thoughts with expressions and looks. One of her directors early in the video talks about her intensity, passion in her craft. Like a force of nature which is pretty amazing of a comment which to me means someone who can really go to greater lengths of activity and work than usual.
