Well the problem is different colleges have different amount of bribes, I mean donations, that they require to get your little spawn in the door. Their problem was that college they wanted their spawn to get into had a higher bribe so they got suckered in by a guy that was the white van guy of college admissions. It is possible that some of the idiots he suckered into paying him didn't realize all that he was going to do was illegal... while with others it was pretty clear that they were going to be committing somer serious fraud... like Haufman's daughter where she was told to shop around until she found a doctor that would sign the papers claiming she needed extra time to complete the ACT, and then took her a place where it was pretty obvious that someone else was taking the test for the numpty.

Lori may actually end up getting off simply because she is too stupid to realize that their was no way he could actually have gotten their dumb daughter in without doing illegal things. Remember Lori probably never went to college probably never finished high school so would be clueless about what a college even is... although she probably pretended to be a college student once or twice.
