Agree, but those royalties may run for many years until the show gets wokelled (woke cancelled). The history of TV is replete with examples of actors who left a regular paycheck because they thought their poop smelled better than everyone else's.

Perhaps, but the show itself digressed in quality more than any show I can remember going back to the 1960s.

Worst of all the writing became absolutely horrible.

Then, the directing. I’m shocked Jon Cryer went along with some of the absurdity of it all, especially how they destroyed “Alan Harper”. The show was clever the first half if its’ run, then it went into a dive and spiraled down the last few seasons.

Angus was smart in leaving the show.

The show got soo bad. I didn’t watch most of the newer episodes. I tuned back in to see Ashton when he came on the show but oh my… so bad.

Considering the absurd writing, I think it was Kutcher who kept it going.

I understand the necessary change of direction when Sheen had to go, but I think that of the many ways they could have gone story wise, they went in the wrong direction. Kutcher is the only reason to watch the later years.

The show was as bad as you charge, but I don't think it was smart of him to leave. Another couple of years of residuals is nothing to sneeze at. Staying with the show hardly hurt his prospects for other work.
