What a sad thing to learn. I used to interact with him here and there in Berkeley back in the day, and even booked his band into a show once. I never forgave him for stealing Tupac from my band, but of course I understood why he jumped ship. I would've quit and joined Digital Underground if they'd have taken me! :P

#ShockG’s cause of death has been confirmed, nearly two months after his tragic passing.

Shock G died of an accidental overdose from a fatal combination of drugs and alcohol, the Hillsborough County Medical Examiner confirmed, according to reports.

The substances included fentanyl, ethanol (alcohol), and methamphetamine.
