She's a good host

I can't stand her former show Big Bang Theory though: that was an idiotic nightmare! https://www.yahoo.com/entertainment/mayim-bialik-wants-to-host-jeopardy-permanently-controversy-mike-richards-192121253.html

She will need to resist the urge to constantly prove how smart she is by adding her own commentary to answers. Otherwise, she’s pretty decent.

reply

This week she has done commentary; I guess you're right and she realized it. I predict Matt will break James' & Ken's records!

reply

Unfortunately, that is incorrect.

She sucks as a Jeopardy host.

reply

I wouldn't say suck necessarily, but she was low on the list of people I would think would be better hosts.

But what's with that look? It looks like her ears got caught between a carpenter with a nail gun and a house framing.

Update:

She's still horrible.

Agree. The more I see her the less I like her as host.

As an aside, let me say I wasn't thrilled with Jennings initially but I think he's grown into the role and the show has a lot of that old classic feel when he's at the helm.

Ken has really "blossomed" Bad pun, I know!

We need some sort of rimshot on this forum...

She's an awful host, with all due respect. She clearly doesn't know half the answers herself and she waits entirely too long to tell a contestant whether they're correct or not. She laughs at all sorts of things that don't need to be laughed at. She looks like a student trying to give a speech they clearly haven't prepared for.

"waits entirely too long to tell a contestant whether they're correct or not."

That's the worst. She has no rhythm or flow. Her delivery is very disjointed.

That's true. One thing about Trebek, he may not have been in the class of Jennings for acquired knowledge necessary to be a Jeopardy champion, but he did his homework before every show. If a contestant gave an accepted alternate answer, he knew it, or if an answer was close but not acceptable to the judges, he knew it immediately.

Many "answers" need clarification or versions that might be allowed beforehand, and Biaiik isn't doing the work to go over the answers before the show, which is why there are delays.

You would think they would edit the show tighter to snip out the delays.
