I see a quest to rival that of raising the Titanic in our future😉

James Cameron should get right on this.

I'm sayin! I wonder if the hef shouted "I'm porn king of the world" when he dropped that load😉

Interesting...I wonder if it was sealed. Would be hilarious if someone found it.

Wow. That is so insanely interesting. He didn't just dump them in the sea. He built a special casket to make sure they were preserved. (that was my take from the article, and knowing the man. you wouldn't take all those measures and not go that extra step.) That's out there somewhere and it will be found eventually. Probably not in our lifetimes. What a neat bit of treasure for Poseidon. What a kook.

I find this story hard to believe. But then again, so are stories about bigfoot, the loch ness monster and dragons.

Makes for some interesting porn folklore though, if there is such a thing? lol...

I can see a deep sea dive to retrieve these items in the future. I mean, if such a thing exists. Seriously, if you wanted to get rid of this stuff, wouldn't you just burn it? Not only did he tell someone about it, he had him dispose of it... yeah... whatever.

Yep. The logistics of contracting for the construction of said concrete lined "casket" and then having it transported on a boat to be dumped in the ocean is too ridiculous to believe.

8mm movie film burns if you stare at it too hard, and love notes, cards, letters, video tape, and photos burn without too much trouble.

It would have been far easier to simply burn these in the fire pit in the mansion's back yard.

Yeah, there are a lot of ways to get rid of items like this. Sinking them in the ocean seems like a last resort. We'll see if this ever turns out to be true. I would bet almost anything it's not.

This could be a case of the "Agency problem". Sure, you have a good theory and plan about what to do with the tapes and trust somebody with the task of getting rid of them, but do they really carry it out? Or did "Joe" hold some, or all?, the tapes back?
