They recruit dense young black guys, then get them to act, dress and speak as stereotypically ''black'' and ''ghetto'' as possible, perhaps to antagonize the white communities.
It helps also to perpetuate this fear and hatred of blacks in order to prevent another MLK or Malcolm X and unite white-black.
But ultimately, Hip Hop has become a vein to make $$$$ out of them.

shareI agree with you that Hip Hop has sucked all the air out of r&b and soul. Black music needs to get back to harmony and melody and singing, rather than the mere rhyming of words in a rant.
I like some Hip Hop. Some of it's great. What I don't like is that it has taken over everything. There's too much of it. Time for something new.
