Besides the fact that the The Who are absolute crap, it's just childish to talk about fellow artists that way.

Still, I don't doubt the statement was motivated by genuine resentment. The Stones and The Who have been direct rivals for about sixty years, and The Who have come in second place in popularity, sales, and general awesomeness.
That's why I ask. He sounds bitter of The Stones' success.
