I think one his most surprising roles was when he played Bob Cratchitt to George C. Scott's Scrooge. I always pegged him as an Alpha personality and here he plays the submissive.

fantastic actor portraying some great characters in some classic movies (Star Trek VI, TNG, Titanic, Time After Time etc) also would've made a great DR WHO
