Joaquin Phoenix has another strange late-night interview, this time with Jimmy Kimmel

Viewers were left wondering if Kimmel's awkward interview with the Joker star Tuesday night was a bit. But Phoenix's publicist seemed to confirm it was when he told EW that a sweary, uncomfortable Joker outtake that Kimmel "surprised" Phoenix with at the end of the interview was in fact a "joke outtake." UPDATE: Joker director Todd Phillips teased the stunt in a Sept. 10 New York Times story, saying: “If (Phoenix) goes on Jimmy Kimmel and walks off after two minutes, I’d be like, ‘That’s my boy.’”

I didn’t find that awkward at all. I think he’s a very genuine person. And, he bloody well looks like. Andy Garcia here. In you were never here he looks like Mel Gibson. I love him!

Oh, wait... also deserves an Oscar for Joker.... absolutely brilliant!!
