RIP

He really was a fine star...hard to believe, he was such a sport on-screen

I was scrolling through a list of actor credits. I stumbled upon Uncle Buck (1989) (and, no, not the two failed TV show attempts in 1990 and again in 2016). I remembered watching the news when the word got out that he passed away. I had just seen Cool Runnings (1993) the year prior and laughed my butt off.

Not completely surprised since John was a bit on the hefty side and a smoker to boot, but so are other actors. They lived pretty fulfilling lives.

He was my favorite comedian at the time. I still thoroughly enjoy his movies. You couldn't ask for a better, wholesome guy such as himself to keep us entertained.

Miss the big guy to this day.
