Interesting choice..Walken doesn't do many sci fi movies. I do recommend Brainstorm (83) which is the only one I recall him doing.

I believe this will be his first sci-fi movie he has been in that was set in the future.

I liked it.

The FIRST movie to show remote texting.

A scene with two bulky portable computers. Walken's character lugs his portable computer into a phone booth and texts his lover "I Love You".

Texting was born in this movie.
