She must not be THAT insecure if she chooses to show up as she is, not hiding it at all. It's not like there's no alternatives to camouflage it. She's got guts.
I think Will's way more insecure about it...
She missed a great opportunity to NORMALIZE her look and rock “the G.I. Jane” with confidence...by rolling with the Chris Rock joke.
And Will Smith missed a great opportunity to not be a dick.
Good point. She was probably building up her confidence by going out like this and the joke shook that. And Will shook the joke teller. Could have easily just left with her or walk up to the stand (a la Kanye West) and talk to the audience denouncing what Chris just said or whatever. Anything but what he did.
Back stage,he could have told Chris how rude he was and demand he owes Jada an apology.
