And that even includes Sin City, where he described himself as “an old fart.” Damn! This Dutchman was amazing, especially in Ladyhawke and Nighthawks and The Blood of Heroes and Blade Runner.

Clearly not true. I liked the guy but he made some stinkers and forgettable movies.

Yeah , true , some bad, but all enjoyable:
but he made a certain type - sci fi / horror , and a dedicated scifi fan can still enjoy the low score ones like "Omega Doom" , and all the more if he's in it.
