Is being a female co-star with Matt Damon a career killer?

Gretchen Mol also failed to launch after starring with Damon in "Rounders". Gwyneth still has her GOOP stuff and lots of money, but she's a camp event.

And as an aside, even the male Ben Affleck, though he's had a real film career, is a trainwreck personally.

What does it all mean?

I don't see it. Jessica Chastain, Minnie Driver just for examples both have successful careers. And Gwyneth Paltrow still has an extremely successful career.
