Nobody else even came close. Just watch The Magnificent Seven, The Flint movies, virtually anything he appeared in. Some may have come across tougher, like Charles Bronson, or meaner, like Lee Marvin but for cool nobody else could match him. Eastwood almost comes close. McQueen was close as well, but those guys had more of an 'everyman' cool. James Coburn was so cool he seemed to be almost alien from the rest of humanity, like some supernatural avatar of cool.
