Is he a nice person?

He never was in the past ( IMHO ) but is need a very humble family man now.
A friend of mine, Colin, worked with Stallone in 2017. A genuine good guy.

I would say yes. Particularly since marrying his current wife in the late 90s, she completes him.

During the 80s he did come across as arrogant in some interviews.

Now his relationship with Flavin, being a family man first and age have made him a more humble person.

Dolly Parton tells an interesting story about the time they were filming Rhinestone in her autobiography. She says they were in a New York alley filming a scene and there was a homeless man begging nearby. Apparently Sly was really rude to the guy, told him he needed to get off the streets and clean himself up and get a job. Dolly says she was shocked because Sly had been nothing but professional and kind on set before that. Apparently she took him to task about it pretty harshly and told him that it could be easily either of them doing the begging if they hadn't been so fortunate. Sly took the dressing down too and they both ended up giving the guy extra blankets and food.

Anyway, that's totally anecdotal and second-hand. I'd imagine he's like us all, some good points, some bad. Just a guy.

Bloody legendary actor though, to me.

Met him 1993 in Miami Beach. He was very nice. Signed me an autograph, and we shot the breeze for several minutes

In the 80s he came off as pretty arrogant in interviews. He REALLY liked himself back then. My Mom hated him, LOL. He lightened up in the 90s and even more so the last several years. If his social media - a surprisingly good follow - and newer interviews are any indication, he seems like a really nice guy. His stuff with his daughters is funny. It's amusing to see an old former buff/macho guy with 3 teen daughters.
