Why did she never really make it?

I've always wondered that. She's gorgeous, she's a good solid actress who can do a variety of different parts, and she's a lot more likeable then a variety of so-called 'A-List' Actresses.

Yet she never fully hit the peaks (pun intended!).

So I was just wondering if anyone had any theories as to why she's never really 'made' it?

And also what does she look like now? Still pretty similar to her 90s self or has she lost the dyed blonde hair and great figure? Haven't seen her in anything this century yet - as she only seems to be in shows for 1 episode! lol

Just wondering the same thing. She's the closest thing to a Marilyn Monroe-like bombshell Hollywood's produced since MM died. Different times, I guess.

Movie history is full of actors and actresses who had looks and talent but their careers never quite took off.

She didn't have much range back in her heyday. Watch Full Moon Junction and her character puts you to sleep. She was cute and interesting as Audrey in Twin Pikes, but her character was intentionally downplayed as a supporting role. I've watched her in other made for TV movies and she really didn't evoke much range. Others say that she didn't "play the game" but let's be honest, she made it in the first place thanks to her natural beauty, but her acting could only take her so far.

I agree with most of this, but I thought she was better than average in Rude Awakening.

Maybe she was in a slump 14 years ago when the OP wrote this. But she definitely "made it". She's had a very successful career.

Good for her for not playing 'the game'. Harvey or some similar scumbag missed out and crushed her career.
