Cat People More Likely To Be Mental

Us dog people have known this for years but a new study shows that "Having a Cat Can Double Your Chances of Developing Schizophrenia".

"In a new study, scientists found that people who owned cats before age 25 were about twice as likely to develop schizophrenia..."

The Science™ has settled the issue - disagree and be prepared to be labelled a nut.

Samoanjoes, I will leave it to you to point out how many cats Kowalski has and what that means.

I had 2 cats, Oscar & Rose.. Oscar passed away last year and now, it's just Rose & I.. I certainly don't feel schizophrenic.. What can I say?? 🤔

reply

The go to answer is you had them after you turned 25.

I think it's bunk but it is fun to taunt cat people - things like this make them crazy.
Oh wait, maybe that's the cats doing that.

reply

I DIDN'T HAVE ANY CATS UNTIL I WAS 40...SO FUCK YOUR MATH.😛

reply

I think my cats went schizophrenic or got some form of mental illness. Littermates that got along fine for a year, and then couldn't be in the same room with each other without a major bloody, fur-flying fight. After almost two months of this, I had them rehomed. I couldn't take the stress anymore.

I HAVE A FEW THAT SEEM TO HAVE SWAPPED PERSONALTIES...SOME CATS JUST CHANGE FOR SOME REASON.

reply

It's because you eat them and so as not to upset your daughter you replace them and pretend they've suddenly developed new personalities.

We're on to you.

reply

Shouldn’t scientists be more focused on curing cancer, knocking out world hunger or making the next moon landings, you know, pretty significant stuff..?

Everybody has a crazy cat lady in the neighborhood, imagine you spent ten years in scientist school and this cat BS is what you spend your life on LOL!

My Mother had around a dozen of them of all various breeds and she was just fine.. She passed away in 2023 at the age of 86 and miss her every day and she loved her cats and I love the one I have

reply

I’m sorry about your mother, that’s a big hit to take. Losing our favorite people is the worst part of an otherwise decent life.

Condolences bud.

I grew up with only having dogs. It took my Sister moving back home after college with her cat and turned my whole family into Cat People. They are the most low maintenance and chill pets.

reply

Liberals and specifically liberal women have the most mental health issues.

reply

It's called toxoplasmosis and it affects nearly all cat fanciers.

reply

That sounds like a STD you get from being a furry. : P
