Just curious.. If so, do you remember which movie?
On another site, I remember seeing a poster of a movie of a woman who looked interesting, and would keep my eye out any time this person posted a movie with a high rating to good success ("Forest For The Trees" and "Paradise: Love")

I think someone must have mentioned something in StoneKeeper's weekly 'What did you reprobates see last week?' thread that looked interesting to me and went on the watchlist. But then it was probably ages until I got around to it, so I'd forgotten where the recommendation came from in the first place.
But it happens more often on Letterboxd, because that's sort of what that site is designed for.

Kowalski recommended Stowaway and holy moly, what a pile of poop.
Although I can see why he liked it - Anna Kendrick vibrated at the start like she was getting pounded by Big Jim Slade and she did some heavy breathing at the end - that probably affected Kowalski's opinion of the movie.
Back to topic - saw Vampire's Kiss because someone here said they liked it and it was great.
