Hey, distant Pollack cuz, I don’t like horror/slasher movies so I can’t help you there. I will recommend some older movies because I am old, but they’ve stuck with me. The following were from the ‘50’s

1…Mandingo
2…I Want To Live
3…East of Eden
4…12 Angry Men
5…The Naked Jungle
6…The Bad Seed (original) It was unsettling
7…Rear Window (original)
8…From Here To Eternity
9…Strangers On A Train
10…Rebel Without A Cause
11…Giant
12…Touch of Evil
13…Dial M For Murder
14…The Bridge On the River Kwai
15…North By Northwest
16…The Night Of the Hunter (disturbing)
17…A Place In the Sun
18…Some Like It Hot (one of the funniest movies ever made)

Then 2 from the ‘80’s which I own:
19…Porky’s (by far the most hilarious movie)
20…Mischief

Another 1950’s film…The Three Faces Of Eve

reply

I'm sure you've heard of all these.

Gridlock'd (1997)
Gang related (1997)
Keane (2004)
The ballad of Jack and Rose (2005)

Gomorrah - tv show

reply

In the last year or so, I've seen 4 films I liked. 4 I feel are good enough to make it a point to watch.

And they are..........

"Burn" 2019 with Tilda Cobham-Hervey

"Rust Creek" 2018 with Hermione Corfield

"THe Whale" 2022 with Brendan Fraser

"Diane" 2018 with Mary Kay Place

For TV - well if we are talking a TV show, one has nothing. I haven't watched regular TV shows in over 30 years

But, if we talk TV miniseries, I've got two. From HBO Max - "Mare of Easttown" and from Hulu - "Dopesick"

reply

For older tv worth watching I favor:

La Femme Nikita
Third Watch
Northern Exposure
The Killing

reply

The Killing (2011-2014)is one of those series you get addicted to and cannot forget. The powerful scene of the orange or pink bags gave me the chills.🥶
