I'm off work for the summer.
I'm trying to watch movies that are supposed to be great, but I've never seen.
Currently I was caught between Leaving Las Vegas, and Face/Off, not sure how I got onto Nicholas Cage. I've settled on Face/Off it seems really fun....Lets see.

shareDid i mention that to you. I watched that about 2 weeks ago. Its really great. Anthony Perkins did a great job on this one of being unhinged, where as in Psycho he was reserved cool. He's pretty underrated.
shareCool. I don't recall you mentioning it to me. I picked up the new Arrow blu ray because it sounded interesting and has some cool special features on it. I agree with you about Perkins and his performance.
shareLucky 2021 I've been waiting to see this one. So far its good. The Rotten Tomatoes reviews are all over the place, so I'm not sure where this is headed. 93% from 60+ critics, but 29% audience score.

I am finishing up the Obi-Wan Kenobi series tonight. I’m so glad they got Ewan McGregor back for the lead, he is a great younger Obi-Wan and the show is really good!

I do love Ewan, but the original trilogy is all I've liked. I think movie series go on for too long these days, unless its Harry Potter:)
shareEwan does a fine job as a heart broken Jedi Master…he failed to make Anakin act right and he is a broken man. It’s a really good performance. Pretty sad and lonesome.
It’s not a long series and you can see how badly Obi-Wan feels about his own failure…It’s really quite a good series.
Look Away (2018) Rewatched this to see if it was a good as I remembered, it is. 10/10
This movie is a one woman show, India Eisley, and she is amazing. It reminds of watching Jodie Foster's work as a kid, or Kirsten Dunst in Interview with a Vampire. I'm thinking it didn't do well, because its grouped into the teen/young adult genre, but its more in line with Lolita, or The Bad Seed. I mean she gets full frontal nude, and tries to seduce her father, super creepy.
This and the Kid Detective are definitely the 2 best movies for me in the last 5 years
Maria, an alienated high-school student, has her life turned upside down when she switches places with her sinister mirror image. Also stars Jason Isaacs (Malfoys Dad Harry Potter), and Mira Sorvino.
