Rooting for antagonist characters😈

I've always wanted to root for the antagonist in series & movies. I feel bored rooting for protagonist as usually the antagonist have more characters, charms & charismatic personality.

What's worst usually the weak & bad decision making protagonist always would survive in the end. But If i were in the movies I think I will be killed by the antagonist even if I said I root for them. But of course I wouldn't root for them in real life, only in the films I will. 😅

I often root for the bad guys in crime films, knowing full well that they would be in reality awful people and probably murderers and or thieves

I’ve rewatched Thief, Casino and The Town in the past week, all great crime movies about violent thieving hoods and damn was I rooting for the bad guys to get away with the score!

In real life I hope these sort of guys get locked up for life but great movies can be so involving that you forget which side you’re on

I thought James Caan was a pretty good guy and did root for him, but I usually root for The Good Guys.

The final few minutes of Thief were terrific, that Frank was not fucking around

That was a real ‘cowboy’ last act

As the decades roll by, I find myself identifying with the villains of modern film much more often. It's the change in writing, not my age.

I sometimes find myself rooting for antagonists, or at least sympathizing with them, in crime shows. There've been a couple in the Law & Order shows, Criminal Minds, and Bones that, had I been investigating the crime, I don't think I would have been able to arrest.

Yeah, I usually like to root the evil guys becuz of the actors did a great job portraying them. I often like these rich & powerful boss who have subordinate to do his bidding. & Evil mercenary too. I especially like the smug one.

Kill the Irishman had a fine cast and a great true story, I love this movie and rooted for the Irish guy (every character in this one is a pretty bad guy but I tend to root for The Irish)

There’s a very good documentary about Danny Greene on TUBI called Danny Greene: The Rise and Fall Of The Irishman…Those Cleveland Mafia lunatics really loved car bombs!
3 dozen car bombings in one town in one summer is pretty bananas!
