On the right side of the screen, barely noticeable is two faint circles with a diagonal line going through it, just like the "no symbol."

shareA symbol generated by the TV shouldn't be barely noticeable (what's the point of trying to tell you something if it's barely noticeable). Try cleaning that area first. That might sound dumb, but you'd be surprised, we can sometimes imagine a little dirt or debris to be a symbol. Then try different sources (or no source). Is the thing there whether you have selected cable TV or a different source like DVD player.
Next, really try and see if there is something inside the circle. No what?
Skim the TV's manual to see if there is anything resembling that symbol.
Is there anything that would have caused it such as mistakenly activating a particular function.
I'm 100% sure its not dirty. My vision is perfect and I even showed my father when he was over and he said "I would have never have seen it unless you pointed it out." Here it is being discussed on another forum. I'm really hoping its not a defect.

It will be interesting for sure to hear what they have to say. I haven't had the best luck with tvs.
