It's divoon, oh it's serene
In the fountains pink champagne
Someone carving their devotion
In the heart-shaped pool of fame

Nothing or no one
Will ever make me let you down………………….

Known for another huge signature song of the 90s, but I like this one:

Happiness, more or less
It's just a change in me, something in my liberty
Oh, my my

Happiness, coming and going
I watch you look at me and watch my fever grow
And I know just where I am

But how many corners do I have to turn
How many times do I have to learn
All the love I have is in my mind………………….

I love this song also: "Lucky Man" by The Verve. Richard Ashcroft really had a masterpiece with "Urban Hymns" back in the mid/late 90s. This is indeed a great song...great choice!

✅…I posted probably 3 or 4 times, never answered

Urban Hymns is a great album. After Bittersweet and this one it seems nobody listened to the rest of the record. But very nice arrangements.

I really liked "Sonnet," in addition to the two you mentioned. I was disappointed when The Verve broke up (If I remember correctly, I think Richard Ashcroft wanted to embark on a solo career)...but Richard Ashcroft pretty much disappeared from the music scene after the early 2000s. I've always wondered what happened to him and why his solo career never took off.

This century:

Just tell me how I got this far
Just tell me why you're here and who you are
'Cause every time I look, you're never there
And every time I sleep, you're always there……………………..

This century, recent:

I was in your (song title)
Driving in my car
Saw you at the side of the road
There's no one else around
You're touching yourself, touching yourself
Touching your, touching yourself
Touching yourself

You said, "Baby, do you want to come home with me?
I've got Buffalo '66 on DVD"

Also reminds me of Some Kind of Wonderful (1987):

Down and down she goes
Our (song title)

I said down and down and down and down
She'd look really lovely at home
Til somebody gonna come up and ask her
To live happily ever after…………….

The cracks between the paving stones
Like rivers of flowing veins
Strange people who know me
Peeping from behind every window pane

The girl I used to love
Lives in this yellow house
Yesterday she passed me by
She doesn't wanna know me now…………………..

Off one of the greatest debut albums in rock history:

Little Robert Anthony wants to come and play
Why don't you come for me, baby
Steal away
Alright…
Alright

Well, they call me the hunter, that's my name
Call me the hunter, that's how I got my fame
Ain't no need to hide
Ain’t no need to run
'Cause I've
Got
You
In
My
Sights
Of my
GUUUUUUUNNNNNNNN!……………………………..

reply

All I can think of is Steal Away now, but it's not the name of the song. It's led zeppelin though I think.
