(Possible) conspiracy theory: was the coronavirus a biological attack?
The 'virus leaked from a Chinese lab' theory is logical enough not to be called 'conspiracy theory'. This theory, on the other hand, can be clearly labeled a conspiracy theory.
It's far from being absurd, though. I'd say it's definitely possible.
Was the covid-19 a biological attack? Using a barely lethal and highly contagious virus to attack China doesn't make any sense... until you think out of the box: it makes sense if China wasn't the goal.
Such a contagious virus would quickly become a pandemic and would spread through the world, reaching every country. What if it wasn't an attack to China, but to US itself? Not an extremely dangerous virus, but enough to require quarantine and to strike down the economy... decreasing the probabilities of Trump to be reelected. China (and the rest of the world) would be just collateral damage.
It is said that this pandemic is the black swan (using Nassim Taleb's term) that can make Trump lose the election. What if it wasn't a black swan? What if it was done on purpose by the American Deep State?
As an additional bonus, that would explain the strange incompetence the CDC has showed the last weeks, skipping protocols and seemingly unable to perform most basic tasks.
